Mazars at the 7th edition of the Day of Security, organized by ALAPSI
The Latin American Association of Information Security Professionals (ALAPSI) organized the event in the installations of Universidad Iberoamericana, in the San Ignacio de Loyola Auditorium, on November 12th and 13th.
As part of the 7th edition of the Day of Security: Academic Offers, Risk Management, Audit and Challenges in the Bank Sector, organized by ALAPSI, Gerardo Castro – IT Senior Manager at Mazars in Mexico, an expert in security matters and the Federal Law of Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties – participated in the panel entitled: Challenges of the law and regulation of personal data protection, in which experts in the subject invited the audience to re think this matter as a problem not only for the legal areas of an entity, but for the company as a whole.

The panel was concluded by talking about the importance of raising awareness into the citizens and companies of what the Law means for the country, and the responsibilities that come with self-regulation. Also, the experts invited to encourage a “privacy rights culture” in companies.
