Mazars strengthens its leadership team in Mexico

Mazars, the international audit, tax and consulting firm, appoints two new Partners and three Directors in Mexico

September 1st, 2021. Mazars has appointed Ana Laura Nava and Jose Jimenez as Partners in the firm´s Outsourcing and Tax service lines, respectively. Mazars has also named Ushuaia Guadarrama, Liliana Guerra and Montserrat Suarez as Directors. Each new member of the leadership team has been promoted from the firm’s internal talent pool.

Ana Laura Nava, Partner, Outsourcing

Ana Laura began her career as an audit assistant in the predecessor firm of Mazars in Mexico. She has been a member of Mazars since it was established in Mexico in 2009. She successfully worked for most of her early career in the audit service line, being responsible for audits of major international clients. In 2019 she joined our Outsourcing team as Director, where she has reinforced the technical excellence of the area’s operations in a period of accelerated growth.

Reaching this position is a great personal and professional achievement. My aim as Partner will be to contribute to the sustainable growth of the firm and of our talented team of professionals, as well as maintaining the high-quality service our clients expect from Mazars.

Ana Laura Nava Espinosa Partner, Outsourcing

Ana Laura’s leadership will be instrumental in continuing the growth of the outsourcing service line, caring for our clients, and developing our teams.

Jose Jimenez, Partner, Tax

Jose joined Mazars in 2019, as Director of the Tax service line. With a clear strategy to develop the international tax expertise of the firm, Jose has far exceeded his goals.

I am very enthusiastic about this new responsibility. My aim as Partner is to continue providing clients with solutions from a practical and transparent perspective that helps build a prosperous and ethical business environment.

The team led by Jose will continue to consolidate the position of Mazars as a serious competitor in the tax advisory market in Mexico, focusing on client satisfaction and technical excellence.

The new Directors are:

Ushuaia Guadarrama, Director, Marketing and Communications

Ushuaia began her professional career in Mazars in 2011 and has been a key member of the Marketing and Communications area of the firm for the last 10 years.

I feel highly motivated by this appointment; working in Mazars means having the chance to go as far and as high as you want. As Marketing and Communications’ leader, I want to take the firm in Mexico to the next level of brand recognition, so that Mexican companies and organizations know us as a firm that offers a different perspective, with an integrated international team, with the scale required to serve major clients, and, at the same time, with enough agility to adapt and to maintain the personal touch.

Ushuaia Guadarrama Director, Marketing & communications

As Director, her aim will be to strengthen the Mazars brand in Mexico, to promote the value proposition of Mazars for its clients, as well as to support the development of the firm’s lines of business.

Liliana Guerra, Director, Outsourcing

Liliana joined Mazars in 2011 as Outsourcing Manager. She previously worked as Financial Controller for an international company.

I am very happy to have been appointed Director; without doubt Mazars is a firm that seeks to develop internal talent. My aim in this new position will be to lead the optimization of our business processes, constantly improve our quality and technical excellence so as to continue providing robust support for the growth of our clients in Mexico, as well as to guide our team so that they achieve their professional goals.

Liliana Marcela Guerra De la Garza Director, Outsourcing

 

Liliana heads complex consulting and compliance projects for international groups in different key sectors of the Mexican economy, such as the automotive, digital and fintech sectors.

Montserrat Suarez, Director, Talent Management

Montserrat started her professional career in Mazars in 2010 and has been instrumental in building the firms’ Talent Management team.

 

As Director, Montserrat will continue to promote the wellbeing and professional development of employees, encouraging them to be ambitious in their career plans, at the same time as attracting new talent to the firm.
