Integral Privacy Agreement

Clients, potential clients, former clients 

Mazars in Mexico, under the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Individuals (the "Law" or the "LFPDPPP"), its Regulations, the Guidelines of the Privacy Notice, and specifically in compliance with the Reporting Principle, publishes this Privacy Notice to inform you about the treatment (collection, disclosure, storage, use, transfer or disposal) of your personal data within our reasonable scope of control and decision.

Mazars in Mexico is how we will jointly refer to the member companies of the Mazars global network of firms, which has the following companies in the country:

  • Mazars S de RL de CV,
  • Mazars Consultores S de RL de CV,
  • Mazars Auditores S de RL de CV,
  • Mazars Noreste S de RL de CV,
  • Mazars Guadalajara S de RL de CV,
  • Mazars Mexicali S de RL de CV.

Each of these companies will be considered as a "Data Controller" for the processing of the personal data of their respective Clients, potential clientes and former clients.

For the purposes of this Privacy Notice, any mention that refers to a "Data Controller" or to Mazars in Mexico will be understood to apply individually to each of these companies.


The member companies of Mazars in Mexico indicate that their place of business for the purposes of this Notice is located at:  Av. Paseo de la Reforma 295 piso 8, colonia Cuauhtémoc, Delegación Cuauhtémoc, C.P. 06500, Mexico City.

This Notice will be used by the Data Controller in its capacity as provider of audit, consulting, public accounting, finance, information systems, and/or control services and in general any services related to the management and administration of companies, businesses and all types of public and private entities, acting as the Data Controller for the information provided.

1. The personal data we handle

The personal data that you freely and voluntarily, in your capacity as Client, Potential Client and Former Client, provide or have provided to the Data Controller, or any data that come into our possession through them, when indicated as a personal or job reference, or as a contact in a certain position within a company, may include but are not limited to the following:

(a) General Identification and Personal Data such as your full name, handwritten signature, RFC, CURP, age, driver's license number, Passport number, Social Security number, place and date of birth, nationality, the license plates of your car.

(b)  Contact details, such as your address, email, landline, cell phone.

(c)  Patrimonial or financial data, such as your history with government institutions such as the SAT, IMSS, and others; as well as bank account data and insurance policies.

The personal data that we ask you to provide, according to the above classification, may vary depending on your capacity, position and responsibilities; or it will depend on your journey within the supplier selection processes and your selection as a potential client of the services of the Data Controller. We are committed to safeguarding any personal and business data that is shared using the strictest security measures and in full compliance with all the provisions of the law.

For the purposes of verifying the accuracy of any personal data you provide to us, we may require you to provide simple copies or we may request the original for comparison of: your official identification with photograph and fingerprint, bank account statement, proof of address, RFC card, SAT ID and official records issued by the relevant authorities, such as powers of attorney, letter of employer affiliation, among other applicable supporting documents.

2. Use of personal data

The personal data that we handle is only used by us in accordance with the following:

  1. Primary or Necessary Purposes: being those that give rise to or are required for the achievement of actions or activities between you as the owner and the Data Controller, depending on your capacity and relationship with the Data Controller, that is, for the purposes of: (a) identification and full verification of your identity and information; (b) to be incorporated into and to update, where appropriate, databases and computer systems; (c) to create and manage physical or digital records; (d) for the provision of audit, consulting, public accounting, finance, information systems, and/or control services and in general for any services related to the management and administration of companies, businesses and all types of public and private entities; (e) to maintain operational and financial information about your company that allows you to fulfil the activities listed in the service agreement(f) to contact you to complete the selection process to be a service provider for you; (g) to comply with the applicable legislation or at the request of a competent authority.
  2. Secondary or Non-Necessary Purposes: any purposes that are unrelated to the work relationship with you or the procedure in which you voluntarily participate with us, in other words, for purposes of: (a) advertising and to offer our services or those of our global network of firms; (b) to maintain your client history with us by saving the information in our database.

2.1 To deny your consent for Secondary Purposes

You can do it by confirming the following statement:

3. Sharing Information

The Data Controller may share your personal data with subsidiary and affiliated parent companies in Mexico and abroad that comply with applicable privacy policies and regulations of the country in question, based on this Privacy Notice. Likewise, the Data Controller may disclose your personal data to comply with applicable legislation or with any requests from the competent authorities, considering:

Tax Authority, Office of the Secretary of the Treasury, Office of the Secretary of Labor and Public Welfare, Office of the Secretary of Foreign Relations, Local governments, Civil Protection, Social Security Institute, and others.

Compliance with fiscal obligations imposed by applicable legislation

Insurance Carriers (Bonds) 

Compliance with obligations imposed by applicable laws and to assist you in obtaining the benefits to which you are entitled.

5. ARCO Rights Requests

You, as the owner of the personal data under our reasonable control, have the right to be informed of what personal data we have in our possession and how it is processed (Access). You also have the right to request the correction or updating of your personal information (Rectification); that we delete it from our records or databases when you consider that our processing of your data is inadequate (Cancellation); and to oppose its use for specific purposes (Opposition). You can exercise those rights by submitting to our Personal Data Office a form we will deliver to you for this purpose upon request together with the relevant documentation, or via email (except for the delivery of a response to a request of access, which can only be done personally, directly with the Holder of the Data or their Legal Representative).

In addition to the handwritten signature of the Holder of the Data or their Legal Representative, it is necessary to clearly and accurately state the facts underlying the request, as well as any requirements for the exercise of the right, for example:(i) the documents that prove their identity or, where applicable, legal representation;(ii) the description of the personal data with respect to which the Holder wishes to exercise their right, among any other relevant ones; Once we have admitted your request, you will receive an identification number and within 20 (twenty) business days, you will receive the response as indicated in your request.

In the absence of a response to your request, you may initiate the Procedure for the Protection of ARCO Rights before the Federal Institute for Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (IFAI), located at Insurgentes Sur No. 3211 Col. Insurgentes Cuicuilco, Delegación Coyoacán, C.P. 04530, Distrito Federal, following any relevant requirements.

If you subsequently decide to revoke your consent for the processing of your personal data, as long as it is provided for by the LFPDPPP and any complementary legislation, you may do so by sending an email to our Personal Data Office indicating your full name, contact information and details of the revocation you request from us, so that we can respond in the same medium.


6. Control of changes to the Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice may be modified at any time. In the event of any substantial or relevant change to this Privacy Notice, the relevant information will be available on our website  or through any other mass media that we may use to keep you informed.
